I Wanna Let The World Know

By Samantha Jones

I didn’t ask, ur mother, ur father, ur sister, or ur brother.

I didn’t ask ur cousin, ur uncle, ur aunt what DID I want.

I don’t have 2 listen 2 u.

Who ARE u?

That’s right......... I ask WHO are u?

I wanna let the world know.

I didn’t ask u for ur name or ur info.

I don’t ask for things I don’t wanna know.

Jus b/c I know u doesn’t mean I wanna know u

I jus wanna let the world know.

I’m jus trying 2 get by

And ur asking me why?

I wanna let the world know

That children do know

What’s going on

I wanna let the world know

That children are not naive

They can deceive

And with this power achieve

their greatness

I wanna let the world know

Children are not dumb if u ask me

I know u didn’t ask me but im telling u

I’m telling u that im tired

I’m tired of adults looking down on us

They don’t trust us,

they don’t respect us.

I wanna let the world know

That they laugh at us,

they don’t believe

that we could be the voice of reason

that we can become the voice of the new season

I wanna let the world know

I wanna let the world know

What I have always known

I wanna let the world know

I wanna let the world know

IF the world doesn’t know

Its gonna learn

Its gonna learn until Im sure

I’m sure that I won’t have to talk anymore

I’m gonna let the world know
