I stare out my window,

Watching people go by,

No one seems to even notice,

This ghost of a girl,

That looks down at them,

I want to leave this room,

I want to go home.

I don’t want to stay here,

In this hospital bed,

Where suffering is all around me,

I seem to know the sound of death,

For its cry is all around.

I want to leave this room,

I want to go home,

I don’t want to stay here,

In this hospital bed,

So,

I stare out my window,

Watching people go by,

No one notices,

No one cares.

I suddenly hear death’s cry,

Though much louder this time,

I go numb and

I hear that cold beeping sound,

That is death,

Then I hear nothing,

At all as

I leave my hospital bed,

Once and for all.
