Candy

She sticks to the back of my throat

Candy coating burning my lips

Sour taste on my tongue

So pretty in her multicolored plastic package

Top-seller ; can't get enough

Delight to the young and old

Find her in the candy aisle next to the batteries

She rots if you leave her outside

Melts in your mouth not in your hand

Sinful aftertaste

Sugar rush ; bouncing off the walls

Sugar crash ; lying on the floor in a daze

Candy coating covers the rotting core

Author's note:
Just trying a different format for once. .
