Author’s note: I realized that I have a lot of stories on here that are unfinished. Maybe someday I’ll get around to finishing them. This story though I have had finished for about two years. I just decided now to post it. I started working on it about five years ago. It’s a little outlandish and probably unrealistic but so are most my stories. That’s why they are fun to write. So here goes the first chapter and let know what you think!!
She was a plain girl who fell in love with an ordinary guy.

Alex was starting off her senior year in a new school and a new state. The last thing she wanted to do was to go to a different school. Especially in her senior year. But her mom had excepted a job out here and they needed to move. There was nothing that she could do about that.
She never had many friends back home but that didn’t make the move any easier. The house that they moved into was even smaller than their last one. It was only her and her mom so she guessed it suited them. There were a few houses nearby but no real neighbors. That sort of bothered her because the friends that she did have, back home, were neighbors.
She found herself in the front yard staring at the movers. She watched as they unloaded every box and moved it into the house. She now found herself looking at the place she called home. “Hello there.” She was startled by a voice from behind her. She spun around.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” She focused and saw a rather attractive man standing in front of her. He was tall with short brown hair that was spiked. He had intense blue eyes and was throwing her a smile that should have been illegal.
“Hi. My name’s Sam Reynolds. I live about a mile down the road. I heard somebody was moving into this house. I thought I’d come by and introduce myself.” He held out his hand and she shook it. “Um, my name is Alex. Alex Troy.”
She could barely get the words to come out. “Well, welcome to California Alex Troy. Hope to see you around.” He gave her a grin that could only be described as devilish. She realized that he must have walked because she saw no car. She smiled softly to herself and headed back inside. This could actually be good. She thought to herself. She really hoped that she would see him again.

Alex stood nervously as she stepped out of her car. This place was a far cry from back home in Georgia. She really felt out of place. Every girl that she saw was thin, tanned with white blonde hair. Alex herself was a plain girl. She had shoulder length auburn hair and pale green eyes. She wasn’t exactly thin and she was fat either.
Compared to most of the girls here she was as white as a ghost. She wore an old pair of faded blue jeans and a black tank top. Her stomach was in knots now. Why did we have to move here? She thought as she clutched her shoulder bag tightly. Well here goes nothing. She thought.

A few painful hours later…..
Alex was ready to cry when she reached her last and final class of the day. American History. Now most kids she knew generally liked history. She hated it. It was her worst subject. Quickly she entered the classroom and picked a seat all the way in the back.
She sat her bags on the ground next to her and looked straight ahead. The teacher was at he front of the classroom writing something on the board. She realized that it was a man. It was the first and only male teacher that she had at this school. Except for Mrs. Reilly. She couldn’t figure out if she was a man or woman.
Slowly she let out a sigh and sucked it right back in when he turned around. Sam Reynolds. The man she had met yesterday. The extremely attractive and nice man. Oh this sucked.
