I feel like I’m in a tangled web of my own demise. I have no clue what to do about the situation I’m in. My father hasn’t spoken to us in this house for two days. As a matter of fact, he hasn’t even touched any of us either. It’s like he’s contemplating on something. Something in the pit of my soul tells me trouble is ahead.

Deceit is running rapid through this house like a disease. The woman who calls herself my mother is anticipating the right moment to strike. She still plans to tell of our little fight, but I don’t know how she’ll do it without exposing herself.

Every evening when he comes home from work, she struts in with her second best lingerie on and seduces him into bed. He seemed to be enjoying it until tonight.

He came home from work as usual, but this time he was flushed with anger. He paced back and forth in the kitchen trying to decide what his next action was going to be. I’ve never seen him like this before. His jaws were clenched and he was grinding his teeth to the bone. His hands were wringing themselves and his nostrils were flared.

Instantly, my stomach clamped up. I wanted to disappear form this horror scene waiting to happen.

He soon picked up the butcher knife from off of the counter and started to walk down the hallway. I knew danger was ahead. My mom was sleeping in their room after her last customer, but she was in for a rude awakening. I heard a muffled scream. My heart started to pound and my palms became cold. I peeked behind my door waiting to see her own demise.

The beast dragged her down the shaggy carpeted hallway by her hair. She was struggling to get loose from him, but his grip was too strong to be broken. He picked her up and pinned her to the fridge, now holding her wrists. Mother was in her best outfit but it looked liked it would be the last one she’d ever wear. He placed his face close enough to look up and down and smell the fresh aroma of heat on her dolled up body.

“ Filthy woman.” He huffed.

“ Why are you doing this?" She was nervous to say the wrong thing.

“ I heard some talk in the office a couple of days ago. They tell me that you’ve been pleasuring them. Is it true?” It was obvious that he was jealous with rage.

“ What do you think? You couldn’t give me what I needed, so your buddies provided for me. In fact, I’ve been with your whole floor.” The fox-like smile was shown on her face.

“ How could you do this to me? I loved you, Maria.” He started to cry after he said that.

“ You didn’t love me. You never loved me. I’ve always despised you. I hate you.” She spitted in his face and her wicked laugh was heard.

His face was red with anger, but is voice was different. It was like someone or something was let loose inside of him.

“ Well, we’ll see if you’ll be laughing after what I’m gonna do to you.”

He shifted his hands to hold her right arm. My mother suddenly slipped from his grip only to run a few feet. He realized what had happened and ran right in front of her. He struck her down to the floor and positioned himself on top of her. She was frozen under his weight. My father placed his lips on hers and whispered he loved her.

As soon as he said those words, he grabbed her right arm once more and lifted his right fist, which the knife resided.

“No! Don’t do this!” She pleaded before a thump was heard. A blood-curdling scream was let out of her mouth. Warm blood was staining the carpet beneath. Whimpers of pain were spilling from her lips and tears dampened her face. My father and her beloved husband had chopped off her wrist.
