It runs down her cheek

Lands on her lip

The salt of sadness

Tearing at her heart.

Pain strikes her in the chest

Hurting

She turns within herself

Looking for an escape

Instead she finds a cage

She is trapped

Lets it control her

She is gone

No one cares.

She hides

Lets it consume her

She is lost

No one cares.

She cries out for help

Screaming for love

It falls onto deaf ears

No one cares.

The salt of sadness burns at her soul

Feasting upon her pain

Now she is lost

No one can help her.
