The land of Celisian, A land filled with many different things. Matchmakers Mountains, Fairabound Canyon, and its three towns. Waterport, Feiwvalley and Aluë. Though mind you, Many other towns are scattered throughout the land, these are just the largest. Waterport, the large water town along the edge of the Penament Sea and the Cemaset River. This is where our story shall start, though You should probably know more of our world. Aluë is the mostly Elfish village in the middle of Midnight forest, located quite a bit north east from Waterport. The forest itself is a dark place, filled with many evil beings. Though, again mind you, many kind, beautiful creatures that only linger in the back of your mind live here as well. The town Feiwvalley is located across the mountains. Matchmaker Mountains they are called, for whenever someone comes, they meet a maker of some kind…May it be for love, or death. Branching off from the Cemaset river is a small stream called the Tafay River. This river, despite its small size, is quite old. It wore away most of Fairabound Canyon, and it continues to do so to this day. Surrounding Feiwvalley is a valley which is called Fairview. Sounds similar to the town around it? It should, because the valley was there before the town was, of course. Feiwvalley is the fastest growing town, though its far from the largest. Waterport is filled with nearly millions of people, and Feiwvalley is almost up to six thousand. Yes, Its getting there, I know. But, The beginning of our story, what you are here for..
Our main character stands before a dark place in Waterport, along the shoreline itself. There are large boats floating in the port, and the air is thick with pollution from the many of factories around the area. Also, due to the new rail line that runs to the mountains. Long silver hair protruding from the cloak worn by the girl, she reached up a pale white hand to the door, opening it. Walking in, she reaches up the same pale hand, removing the hood from her head. She shakes loose strands of hair from her face, and the silver hair falls to her waist. Her green eyes dancing with excitement, she hung her cloak up, pushing the hair behind her shoulder. Her favorite thing about her must have been the hair. You might find this silly, but it has come in handy many a times. She walks up to the bar, swinging her leg around a stool. The bartender gives her one of those stares, and she smiles, showing the tips of fangs.
“You know why I am here.” She says to him, her voice venom cool. It seems to drip from the very fangs in her mouth. The man gives her a nervous stare. She smiles wickedly, her green eyes dancing still.
“Do not worry your pretty little head.” The girl says again. “I’m not after you…yet…I’m here for…” She looked around, lowering her voice. The girl leaned over the bar. “ Nunzio. You’d best show me to him, or I will have to harm you.” In a matter of Seconds, she had her dagger in her hand, the point aimed right for the tender’s neck. He began to sweat, obviously nervous. He stuttered.
“N-Nunzio isn’t here..”
Her eyes widened in anger. “what?! You mean I’ve had to STALK this guy for a month and he’s suddenly GONE?!” The tender, along with many people around, stared at her. Instantly recognizing who she was, they all got visibly nervous. Some weren’t as nervous, due to the fact that her partner, Kiya McCain wasn’t present.
“Cool your jets!” She snapped at the people behind her. The girl, Named Kaykuyo Duvare, reached forward, grabbing the tender by the collar of his shirt, her blade nearly piercing his skin.
“Tell me where he is, and I won’t have to slit your throat!” She growled at him. He panicked, and tried to pull away. She sighed, and pushed the blade into his neck, killing him, not something she wanted to do. She heard screaming, and people began to dash here and there. With a growl, she turned, and began to walk out. Any person unlucky enough to run into her would get a blade in their side. As she left, she grabbed her cloak and walked out the door with a loud scream of aggravation.
She began to walk back home, and people slowly lingered out of her way. She cursed at being so well known, but if she laid low for a few years, they’d forget about her. It has happened before, but it wasn’t so bad, she had Kiya and Jiro Maiko to keep her company. Kiya was her best friend, and Jiro, lets just say she’s had a crush on him every once in a while. Someone with a young child firmly grabbed their hand, and yanked them away from Kaykuyo. She stopped in her tracks, and turned to the woman.
“You raise that child well, and I won’t have to kill him.” The woman’s eyes widened, and she dashed off. Kaykuyo snickered, and continued walking. Her silver hair stuck out of her cloak in odd directions, but that didn’t matter, for she was almost home. She walked into the door of what appeared to be an Inn or Tavern. In fact, the sign on the door was “Assassin’s Tavern.” Creative name, No? Its not a disguise.
You wanted a place to stay, this was the place to do it. The Three Assassins that run the place allowed no crap. You fought, you were either killed on the spot, depending on the offence, or kicked out. You tried to cheat, or gamble, They’d probably help you. She walked in, and saw Jiro and Kiya sitting at the bar, drinking. She smiled, and walked up to Kiya, almost flintily resting her head on her shoulder.
“’Ello,
Love.” Kaykuyo said playfully, with a smirk playing across her
pink-glossed lips. Kiya gave Kaykuyo a look of disgust before resting
her head against Kaykuyo’s.
“How’d it go?” Kiya asked
with her usual hyper ness. With a low growl, Kaykuyo glared up at
her partner. Kiya cringed a bit. “Ooh, that bad?”
“Yes, that bad.” Kaykuyo almost snapped. “He skipped town. How could I not have known about it? I’ve been stalking him for the last fricken’ month!”
Jiro smiled, and put his hand on Kaykuyo’s shoulders. “Oh, Calm down. Your just over reacting a bit. If he wasn’t at that bar, maybe he’s gone to another one..” Kaykuyo shook her head grimly.
“No. I know him all to well by now. He never goes to another bar or club. I don’t even think he’s been in a Tavern before. He’s run be a schedule. He never does anything different.”
Jiro tilted his head a bit, his dull blue eyes shining with curiosity. “Interesting…” He said softly.
Kiya spoke up next. “Ooh, I know!” She said, a wide grin playing across her face, her fangs fully visible underneath her lips. “Lets go find some old homeless fogies and rob ‘em!!” Jiro and Kaykuyo gave Kiya a stare. Kiya blinked, then grinned sheepishly. “Kidding, Kidding…”
“Seriously, Though.” Kaykuyo spoke up, taking a seat next to Kiya and ordering a drink. “If we want that bounty, which I’m sure we do, we have to find him before someone else does.”
“True. I wouldn’t be surprised if any other assassins in this town have tried to take him.”
“We can’t let that happen!” Kiya chipped in, almost falling out of her stool. Luckily, Kaykuyo grabbed her by her shoulder, and sat her straight up.
“No more drinks for you, and She’s right.” Kaykuyo said as she took Kiya’s full glass of rum.
“But...but...my rum!” She moaned, reaching out hopelessly for it.
Jiro sighed and smacked the top of Kiya’s hand. “Knock it off, will you? We’re trying to be serious here…” His comment seemed to hit a spot of Kiya’s and she burst out laughing, falling to the floor. Kaykuyo didn’t bother trying to catch her this time, and simply closed her eyes as she heard the thud of Kiya, and then the stool. Everyone seemed to stare at Kiya, now rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. Kaykuyo sighed, and rose to her feet. “Jiro, grab Kiya. I’m getting us a room.” She turned to the bartender, and requested a room. As she did this, Jiro rose to his feet, and scooped up the still laughing Kiya in his arms.
“Be quiet now.” He said harshly as he walked up the stairs. Kaykuyo soon followed him, with a key. She stuck the key into a door, and opened it up. She stepped out of the way as Jiro and Kiya walked in. Well, Kiya was carried in, but you know what I mean. Kiya was free to roam around the room, and Kaykuyo and Jiro sat on the beds, discussing what they were going to do.
“Here’s the plan…” Kaykuyo began with a smirk.
