Wishes and Heart's Riches:

He's lovely, as the air is crisp
On a golden autumn day.
As leaves fall 'round me, an assortment of color,
I imagine my darling to say:
"Tis one thing to live, 'tis another to love
Yet, dearest, I swear you were sent from above!
For I never have loved or seemed to have loved
An angel as I do you."
Oh! My friends
I'd die if he said:
"From 'neath my heart I shall love you till death."
Yet these are mere wishes
For my heart's greatest riches.

If I am to be filled with greed
Let love be my soothing treasure.
