The reality was, you were never more than a figment of my imagination. I projected my wants onto you, and I saw things that were never there.

If had known you

All my life, I could never

Have loved you the way I did.

I was young, and you seemed wise.

I was searching for something

Greater then anyone could offer.

I thought I saw something wonderful in you,

For a fleeting moment, one quick glance.

I Must have been mistaken,

It was probably some

Hallucination.

For after years of worshipping

At your feet,

I see now, that you are nothing more

Then an illusion.

And your wisdom is only

Your inflated ego.
