hello there it's me, funny don't you think?

that here I stand without doubt of fear

yet my knees shake like chatt'ring teeth

though greater men have fared no better

hello there it's me, the friend at hand

willing to do whatever he can

a crying shoulder or soothing voice

or dare I say your guardian angel?

hello there it's me, I know you're bored

so here it goes, sincere and heartfelt

I want to be more than just a friend

let me be all that you'll ever need

hello there it's me, in love with you

I can't be that knight in shining gear

but I’ll be your squire, faithful and true

wishing you well and tending your wounds

hello there it's me, with twisted tongue

I find it hard to say what I mean

cause countless sights and sounds fill my head

and each of them bears you're image and face

hello there it's me, with quiv'ring legs

confidence has ebbed to a low through

but I will not run, I will not flee

for I will stand straight and proud for you

hello there it's me, changed and reborn

like the sun at dawn or moon at night

to the winds I’ll sing what's in this heart

may my song spread throughout the fine earth

hello there it's me, he who adores you

you are life's delight and eternal bliss

to borrow from Marlowe, poet so great

come live with me and be my love

hello there it's me, here standing still

the burden of my soul has been lost

what was hidden is now wholly revealed

here I am fragile but unafraid

hello there it's me, nearly insane

grown tired of waiting, close to despair

won't you come down goddess and save me?

you are home and love, my redemption
