Wanting to belong,

But knowing I never will.

Continuing to speak,

Even though I know no one’s listening.

When I leave,

You ask why I go;

But when I stay

I’m pushed aside.

I’m here,

But no one knows.

Once I’m gone,

No one cares.

When you speak,

Everyone listens.

When you laugh,

Everyone else laughs.

I speak,

The laughter starts;

I laugh,

The silence begins.

I try to fit in,

But it doesn’t work.

The puzzle is complete;

My piece doesn’t fit.

I guess it’s time to move on,

But to where…
