I’m judged for what I choose not do,
Not for my patience, smile, or spirit.
I’m judged for what I refuse to do,
Not for my courage, faith, or humble nature.
You’re not the beauty of the hallways,
It’s not your name on everyone’s lips,
Who would want to imitate you,
Since it’s supposed to be a sign of flattery?
I don’t meant to be rude…but,
My life is not in your hands,
It’s not your grace that I work to receive,
Your praise that sends me soaring,
Your grace that drives me to moans and groans,
Your love that’s worth giving all of myself for.
It’s the Lord’s gift to one and all,
Love granted me to give to you.
