"Exhausted

By the sheer lack of love in your eyes

Clouded

A purple haze glazing over bent corneas

And the clock ticks our lives away

Tick, tock, tick, tock

Sound the bell

Tick, tock, tick, tock

There are souls on sale.

Amazing, how much I still love you

And another tick, tock, tick, tock

How long, my dearest one,

'Till the stars fall flat upon the ground?

Will the clock just keep going,

And the bell keep ringing,

Before someone finally

Notices

That something is terribly

Horribly

Fantastically Wrong?

Tick

Tock

Tick

Tock

And all the world's a stage."
