Anna pushed her hands down gentley on Jays chest. This was enough to stop him, and to not make anyone feel too weird. Anna looked at him. "Why did you just do that?" She tried not to sound too confused and stupid.
"I love you Anna, and I just....I wanted to know if you felt the same." Jay looked a little confused himself.
Anna, still sitting ontop of him shifted her weight to her right side as she felt a very strange bulge hitting her centre. "I do love you Jason. But..."
Jay put his hand to her face and smiled. "I knew it."
Anna stood up and pushed away. "No...I mean...I love you, but like a brother and sister love...not like that."
Jay looked at her hurt. He sat up somewhat. "Its because of that Chris kid isn't it?"
"What?" Anna looked at him startled by his tone.
"You won't be with me because of that kid."
Anna shook her head. "You need to cool down." She turned to walk away but was tripped to the ground by Jason. Her hands slammed hard to the ground and could feel the muscle tighten like it were about to snap.
Jason pulled her to him, grabbing her already hurt wrists. "You won't see him again, I won't let it happen."
Anna looked at him. "Your hurting me Jason..." She began to struggle against him, but he was much too strong, he went to pin her but she managed to get away by chance. Scrambling to her feet she raced into the kitchen, where he had her trapped on one side of the kitchen table.
"Your crazy!" Anna screamed at him. Eyes filling with tears, fear building up in her body as if she were ready to explode.
Jason looked at her. "Anna, stop this. You know its for your own good." He jumped forward, causing Anna to run off down the hall to her room, slamming and locking the door.
Anna sat down scared as she listened to Jason yell and slam things around on the other side of the door. Suddenly she flashed back to being 12 years old in her house.
"You bastard!" Screamed Anna's mother.
"Bitch, get over here now! Your nothing!" Jasons father screamed.
On the floor of the livingroom, behind the couch sat a scared boy and girl, a young anna and jason. Jason held Anna to his side. "Its gonna be okay Anna. I won't let them hurt you."
Anna looked at Jason. "Why do they fight like that."
Jason shook his head. "I don't know, but listen, I am gonna get you out of here one day and you will be safe."
"I am gonna end up like her, thats what your dad says."
"My father says alot of things."
"He says your just like him too Jason."
"We won't ever be like them..." Jason said.
The next morning Anna woke up on the floor of her bedroom beside the door. She stood up and listened, not a sound. She quickly left the house and headed out in search of some place safe. The only person she could think of was Dawn.
The door was huge, and as she knocked she could hear people moving about. Dawn opened the door, and the look on her face was enough to tell Anna that she wasn't wanted around. Dawn quickly led Anna into a backroom of the kitchen area. "What are you doing here? and why do you look like you've been through a war."
"I kinda had some trouble last night."
"With Chris?" Dawn asked.
"No, with Jason." Anna rubbed her eyes.
"Why?"
"He kissed me, and then got angry about Chris, and the fact I won't be with him."
"What?" Dawn shook her head. "Last time i checked, Jason is your brother, and for a fact, he is in the meeting room with my husband....are you sure this is what happened?"
"Dawn, you know me..." Anna looked hurt. "Would I lie about something like this? Why won't you believe me?" Anna started to tear up.
"Because Anna... If what your saying is true... Spreading it around isn't going to help you. You depend on Jason..he pays your bills, and the fact that he owns alot of business, and could just say your a trailor trash liar, isn't gonna help you out in life."
"What should I do?" Anna leaned back against the wall.
"The way I see it you got two choices. You can go with the flow, see how it plays out, or you can take off. You have some money, you just need to figure out whats best for you.."
"So you won't help me fix this."
"Anna, I am married to your husbands best friend.... I can't rock the boat I am sailing on." Dawn answered.
Anna quickly ran out of the room and out of the house. She ran down the road to the bus stop and sat there sobbing. What was she to do. What was going to happen..
Chris patted Anna's back. "What is wrong with you, you sure your okay?"
Anna nodded. "I just have a bit of the flu is all."
"Flu, right..."
"Look, Chris.."
"Oh no your don't, don't you dare say a word about anything."
Anna looked at him.
Chris nodded. "You were gonna say something you would regret later."
Anna shook her head. "Chris you need to listen to me."
"Say what, a bunch of lies about how your worried about us being together?"
"Chris, I do want to be with you, but now I can't...maybe in time."
"So she finally admits it." Chris took Anna's hand.
"Chris, you need to listen to me...I can't be with you now.....things are complicated."
Chris kissed her hand. "Anna...." He pulled her close and kissed her neck, and almost instantly she melted.
"You need to stop Chris...please.." Chris just continued on, down her neck and back up, finally to her lips, where she could not resist him. Chris looked at her and then smiled. "Be with me..."
Anna shook her head. "I can't."
Chris stood up and then picked up Anna, almost flipping her over his shoulder. She struggled, but weakly, as he took her upstairs to his room. Setting her down Anna looked at Chris. "Please, you don't understand."
Chris looked at her. "You want me, and I want you...isn't that enough for this moment?"
Anna stood, not knowing how to answer...
