A/n: Hey everyone! Well here is part two. I wanted to end the first part because I had to leave you all hanging and to go back a little ways. This story was just going to be about Kat and Jayd but I had to explain the other people’s lives too. If it were just about them two it wouldn’t be as good I don’t think. Well this is back to Saturday night right after Trevor left the dinner table. You are about to see what really happened when the gun went off. Enjoy reading! Lots of love to readers and especially reviewers. Thanks for the support. Your reviews really do help me to continue to write this. Ok ok I get the hint to the story lol.

One Dream Away from Reality

Chapter 1

Tonya’s POV (Trevor’s mom and Eric is his father.)

“What has gotten into him lately?” asked Eric.

“I don’t know maybe all the presser your putting on him about college.” I stated.

“What does that have to do with him getting mad at us asking where his brother is?” he asked.

“Maybe he is just stressed about everything and he doesn’t think that he should always know where his brother is?” I suggested.

“We should go up and talk to him.” Eric replied.

“No let’s give him a few minutes.” I said.

Eric picked up his fork and continued to eat. I stared at my food. I was trying to imagine what Trevor was going through.

“Honey?”

“Let’s go up there.” I said getting up from my chair.

He got up from his chair and followed me. As we were going up the stairs, we heard him scream “STOP IT! LEAVE ME ALONE!” I tried to open the door but it was locked.

“Trevor let us in!” I screamed while banging on the door.

“LEAVE ME ALONE!” he screamed.

Eric reached and felt for the key above the door on the frame. We got the door unlocked, Eric barged in, and I followed. When we got in Trevor was lying on the floor with a gun to his head.

“Please Trevor no. Put it down.” I pleaded slowly walking towards him.

He slowly put the gun down. BANG

I jumped at the sound of the gun going off. I started to run over to him but Eric grabbed me.

“Wait, he might try to hurt you.” Eric said.

Trevor looked over at us with tears in his eyes.

“I’m sorry mom and dad.” He muttered out while sobbing.

I walked over to him.

“About what?” I asked.

“I didn’t mean to shot the gun. I was putting it down.” He said.

“Its ok.” I said.

“I need help.” He said.

“That’s for sure.” Said Eric.

I glared at him and he shut up.

“It hurts.” Trevor sobbed.

“What hurts?” I asked.

“Where did that bullet go?” asked Eric picking up the gun getting it away from Trevor.

“Which way was it facing when you picked it up?” I asked.

“Towards Trevor.” Eric said.

I looked down not wanting to believe that my baby was shot. I looked down to his side and there was blood around his right side.

“Oh my god!” I screamed getting up trying not to puke.

Eric stood up and grabbed me.

“Calm down you will freak him out.” Eric whispered into my ear.

“What’s wrong mom?” he said.

“What is this?” asked Eric holding a pill bottle.

“Its acid, I got it from Chad’s room earlier today.” Said Trevor.

I was shocked at what I had just heard. Eric came back over to me.

“Go call 911.” He whispered in my ear.

Eric’s POV after Tonya left to call 911

I read the name on the bottle. Jeff Ryan was the name. It had contained medicine for cancer before it had held acid. I kneeled down next to Trevor and grabbed his hand. He shot up.

“Get away from me damn it!” he screamed.

“Please Trevor sit down and calm down.” I said in a calm voice.

“Don’t tell me to calm down! Chad fucking raped my girlfriend! It’s my fault that he ran away! I didn’t get into any college because I didn’t apply anywhere and it doesn’t matter because Aubrey is pregnant! Argh shit!” he screamed grabbing his right side and falling to the floor.

Did I hear him correctly?

“Argh!” he screamed.

His scream brought me back to now. I looked over at him he had his shirt off and he was sticking his fingers into his wound.

“Stop Trevor!” I screamed running over and slowly pulling his fingers out of his wound.

“Get it out! Get it out! AH!” he screamed while hitting me.

He had blood all over his right hand.

“Stop it Trevor calm down. How many pills did you take?” I asked.

“I only took two. Get it out of me!” he screamed while trying to get to his wound.

Then I heard Tonya in the doorway and I looked up at her. She had a frown on her face. I would have never thought that our two boys would be doing drugs. I grabbed his wrists but he still kicked and screamed.

“Are they coming?” I asked.

“Yes.” She said.

“Whose coming?” asked Trevor.

“Help.” Tonya said.

“No I won’t let them take me.” Trevor said.

“They are going to help you.” Tonya said coming over to Trevor.

Trevor kicked her in the face.

“NO!” he screamed.

I let go of his wrists to see if Tonya was ok.

“You ok?” I asked.

“Yeah, control him.” She said.

I turned back around to Trevor. He almost had his whole hand in his wound. He had at least three and a half fingers in it.

“Damn it Trevor!” I screamed.

“Leave me alone!” he screamed.

I grabbed him.

“Tonya, grabbed this wrist while I get the other one out.” I asked.

Tonya took hold of his left wrist while I slowly tried to get his right hand out of his wound. He fought me but I got it out. There was more blood coming out of his wound now. Tonya handed me his left wrist. His right hand and wrist were covered in blood. By this time, I was too.

“I’m going to see if they are here.” She said leaving the room.

Trevor stopped fighting me, and then I noticed he was wheezing. I looked down at his face and his eyes were closed. He must have passed out, but it might be a trick so I held onto him. Then Tonya ran back into the room with the paramedics shortly after her. I continued to hold onto him. I was shocked at what had just taken place. I still held onto his wrists. Then I felt him jerking in my hands, but I continued to hold his wrists. I felt like I had no energy or feeling left in me. I couldn’t believe what had just happened.

“Eric let him go your hurting him!” screamed Tonya.

I came back. I looked down at Trevor. He was violently shaking.

“Sir, let him go. We need to help him. He is having a seizure.” Said a paramedic taking my hands off my stepson’s wrists.

I let go and moved back. What have I done? I couldn’t say nor do anything else I was paralyzed.

Tonya’s POV

“Why is he shaking like that?” I demanded.

A paramedic lifted his eyelids and shined a light into his eyes. When he lifted the first one it looked like his eyes were all the way rolled back into his head. The paramedics were talking to each other but all I heard was gibberish. I looked over to Eric he was rocking back in forth in a daze. They strapped Trevor down to an orange board.

“Is he going to be ok?” I demanded to know.

“He has lost a lot of blood. Please get back,” Said the paramedic to me then turning back to his partner, “Bag him Stan.”

I just sat there next to him and I looked around the room at all the blood on the floor.

“Did he take anything?” asked Stan.

“Yes, he said it was acid.” I said getting up and getting the pill bottle.

I handed him the pill bottle and then I saw a few cops standing at the doorway to his room. The paramedic handed it to the cop.

“Did he say where he go it?” asked the cop.

“From my other sons room.” I said.

“Can we search that room?” asked the cop.

“Yes.” I said.

They carried Trevor out of the room and I got up to follow, but a cop stopped me.

“Let me go with my son!” I demanded.

“We need to ask you a few questions.” Said the cop.

I looked over at my husband but he was still paralyzed. Then the other cop picked up the gun and handed it to another cop who just walked into the room.

“What is going on?” I asked.

Two cops went over and handcuffed my husband. They took him out of the room.

“Lets go downstairs and talk.” Said the cop taking my arm.

I followed him downstairs and we sat at the kitchen table where our dinner still sat.

“Where is your other son?” asked the cop.

“I just found out at dinner he ran away.” I stated.

“You didn’t call the cops for that?” he asked.

“No because he has done this before. He will eventually come back.” I stated.

“Who shot your son?” he asked.

“He did on accident.” I said.

“Who is he?” asked the officer.

“My son. I asked him to put the gun down and it went off on accident.” I said.

“How do I know your telling the truth? You could be just trying to save your husband.” He said.

“I am telling the truth. My husband would never do that to his step son.” I said.

“Step son? So the boy is not even his?” asked the officer.

“No, his father and I got a divorce when Trevor wasn’t even born yet.” I said.
