The Superhero Poem

If I could fly
Don't you think I would?
All the time, they're above me
Doing what I never could

They're beautiful, majestic
Like birds in flight
But they're people and beings
From planets out of sight

Where are my powers?
I wonder angrily at the sky
Nothing miraculous will happen
And life is normal, passing by

But I give what I can
And I do what I must
Being like they are
Strong, true, and just

I don't have wings
But I can fly
I may not be a hero
But at least I try
