Light and Dark had fallen with only a little more difficulty than Chaos had. Now She was Light and She was Dark and She was soon to be Space and soon to be Time. And then She would be.

The timestream was difficult to locate, by necessity. If anybody could find the timestream, then everybody would, and the results of their meddling would likely end up destroying the timestream. Between Time and Space, the stream was nearly impossible to find. But Order had known where it was, and so She knew where it was. She also knew that the remaining Gods would be waiting at the End of Time, and that the End would be well defended by Time Wraiths. Time Wraiths were the most efficient and destructive creatures in all of Creation. They were not alive, truly, for they were part of the timestream itself. They were “living,” sentient time. They were designed to protect the timestream, mostly from would-be time travelers and the like. They were known to annihilate entire galaxies because one civilization in them had discovered time travel. She did not fear them, and dove into the timestream.

Immediately, She was swarmed. They looked like large, empty cloaks, and immediately assailed her with all the power they had. But it did not matter how much power they had. She could not be harmed. She ignored them, and proceeded down the timeline; She had Her fun with Light and Dark’s little delaying tactics. She found the End of Time easily enough. There were, after all, only two directions to move in.

The Infinites, Space greeted, Have declared that You do not exist.

They are right.

Then how? Time asked.

I can. the girl stated, Your laws apply to everything. They do not apply to nothing. I am nothing. The twin Gods looked at her, confused.

Our laws apply to everything... And you are nothing? Is that why you cannot be stopped? Everything can be stopped, everything can be harmed, but since you are nothing, these truths do not apply?

That is why Creation has been crumbling, isn’t it? You are the Gods, and You are nothing, so the Gods are nothing? And so the power they embody no longer exists?

That’s right, nothing confirmed, and charged toward Space, and suddenly found Herself much farther away than She should have been, but kept charging anyway.

Then why?

I am not, nothing explained, I want to be. When you are defeated by nothing, nothing will have your power. Then nothing will exist, and everything will not. Nothing stopped existing in Space, negating Space’s tactics to keep Her at bay, then nothing defeated Space and claimed the Rite of Caste. Time escaped into the timestream, not allowing Herself the moment to mourn Her sister’s defeat. Nothing pursued backwards through the timestream. This was all that was left of Creation. Time. Time and nothing.

And then there was nothing.

Everything became nothing.

And nothing became everything.

And the girl with the white streaks in her hair just became.
