Chapter Three: Limbo.

Hey! Sorry for the delay, but I’ve been doing other stuff. That and I hate typing. Anyway, hope you continue to enjoy the fic. Please don’t give up on me.

They say when a witch or warlock dies, their soul resides in Limbo. A place that is neither life nor death, but somewhere in between. In this place they live until the time of their reincarnation. They are reincarnated into the body of a person in their family. This process has been going on for as long as anyone can remember and it has never once been disturbed…until now. A forbidden love has been formed between two souls. They refuse to be reincarnated and wish to stay in Limbo so that they may remain together.

(25 YEARS BEFORE)

The emerald green eyes of a young boy scan the busy streets of the city. It looks like the cities in the medieval times. The clothes resemble much of those in the medieval times as well. His red hair is frosted with a hint of blonde. He looks a little worried as he searches for something.

“My love, where are you?” he asks himself as he looks down the street next to him.

“Darling,” he hears a woman whisper. He snaps his head in the other direction and spots a young girl hiding in the alley. He smiles before walking over to her. “I’ve been waiting for hours,” the woman sighs.

The woman’s long, purple hair, gently rested on her shoulders. She smiled up at her lover; her red eyes light up at the sight of him.

“I thought I had lost you, Love,” the boy said with a smile.

Neither of them have names, because souls don’t have names in Limbo. They don’t really need them. When they are reincarnated they receive new names anyway.

“There is a reincarnation ceremony going on,” the woman said nervously, “I thought that you were…”

“No,” the boy interrupted as he shook his head, “I love you and I don’t plan on leaving.”

These two had been in Limbo for nearly five hundred years. They refused to leave, even when they were threatened.

The woman’s red eyes filled with a sadness, “But Darling, it’s your family,” she said slowly.

The boy shrugged, “I told you, I’m not leaving,” he said sternly. He brushed a stray hair from the woman’s face, “One day, you and I will be together and nobody will be able to stop us. We’ll get married and have kids. And we’ll be happy for all of eternity,” he smiled.

The two of them knew this wasn’t possible. It was against the rules. They would never be allowed to be together and it was only a matter of time before they would torn apart.

“Oh, Darling,” the woman said, tears hanging on the red rims of her eyes, “I love you,” she said slowly.

The boy just smiled and leaned down to kiss her. They shared that kiss for a few seconds, but for someone as in love as them…it felt like an eternity. But, sadly…they were torn apart. Three men in white robes grabbed the boy and pulled him out of the alley. While two men held the young woman back. The boy was forced into reincarnation that day and the two were separated for good.

(PRESENT)

A boy is seen walking the dark streets of the city. His blonde hair is streaked with black and slicked back. He has his hand in the pockets of his baggy red pants, with black flames on the bottoms. Unlike everyone else, who are wearing big coats, the boy is wearing a black, mesh shirt and no coat. He stops for a moment and tilts his head slightly, as if listening for something, the small earring catching the light. A small smirk forms on his face. He turns and walks into the alley next to him.

“Hmm…a dark alley,” he said to himself as he looked at the wall in front of him, “Uh oh, dead end,” he said sarcastically. “I guess I need to go back,” he whined. When he turned around he found himself face to face with a vampire. The red, cat slitted eyes of the vampire stared into his purple ones, “Oh, my. Look, a vampire,” he said sarcastically.

“You were right when you said dead end,” the vampire said bitterly. He’s wearing a black t-shirt that has a buckle on the collar. With this he wears a pair of camo pants and a belt. He also wears a black wrist band and has three earrings going up both ears. “I’m very hungry,” he said, his red eyes shining.

“Yeah, but uh…you ain’t getten much from me there body,” the blonde said as he put his hand on the boy’s shoulder, “We’re kinda in the same boat,” he said before his eyes went cat slit and red, his ears became pointed, and his fangs grew.

“Crap,” the other boy whined before changing back, “Just my luck, I’ve been stalking a vampire for the last three blocks,” he said as he threw his hands up in the air, “What am I gonna eat now?” he asked irritably.

“Yeah, I know you’ve been following. I could smell you for the last three blocks,” the blonde said as he changed back. He held his nose and waved his hand in front of it, “Just cause you’re dead, doesn’t mean you have to smell like it,” he assured him. The boy gave him a dirty look, but didn’t say a word. “Look, no hard feelings?” the boy asked hopefully, “I’m Quan.”

“I’m Gonou, and I don’t feel,” the other boy replied, slapping the blonde’s hand away.

“Yes! Benefit of being a vampire!” Quan yelled excitedly, “But to show there are no hard feelings…I’m gonna let you in on a little buffet,” he said with a sadistic smile. “What do ya say, you in?”

Gonou gave Quan an odd look, “Yeah, but only because I’m starving,” he replied slowly.

“Good, follow me than!” Quan said excitedly as he walked toward the end of the alley. Gonou watched the ‘moron’ walk away. He shook his head slowly, he couldn’t believe he was about to follow this guy. He sighed before walking to the end of the alley. He turned his head side to side to see what direction he went, but didn’t see him. “Up here!” Quan yelled from above him.

Gonou’s head snapped in his direction, his emerald green eyes caught the light as the wind blew his red hair frosted with blonde.
