A/N: At my school, we’re very close. Like a family. And today was the seniors last day of school. They will be graduating on Sunday. As an arts school, we express ourselves in many ways, and today it was the simple act of tears. Now, more calm and in control, I find my own way to say good-bye to my older brothers and sisters who shaped me. They will never know their impact upon my life. Thank you, and good-bye.

Farewell

The hardest thing to say

To friends

And even to enemies

A shadows breath

And then gone

On a dove’s wings

A mourning dove

So fragile, this love

So bent on hatred

But fragrant

Like Vibernum

In the backyard

And like Vibernum,

Quickly gone

Wilted, disappeared

Dead

The simple glances

The unspoken word

Tell all there was needed

No words

Express

The sadness we feel

As we say

Farewell
