Wow, did nobody like the chapter of Acceptance? I know it was unbeta-d, but was it really that horrible? I'm starting to feel sad...

Anyway.

Sun, Wherefore Hast Thou Forsaken Me?

The light, the sun, it burns, it burns!

Not for trees, nor flowers, nor ferns,

not for spiders, not for snails,

not for tigers, nor for whales.

In the summer I did know

the fields where I was wont to go,

to lay upon the waving grass

and there daydream - but now, alas!

Alas, I cry, because my eyes

are pained to see the bright sun rise,

and soft moonlight upon my flesh

seems a silver fairy mesh

where once the sunlight used to play,

and twist, and twine, all through the day;

but now the morning is too bright:

upon my eyes it casts a blight.

The fainter sister I must seek,

and under stardust now will weep

for that which has forsaken me,

nevermore to visit. See!

But a few moments in such light,

and I must renew my flight

as through my skin the sunbeams burn.

Though I twist and though I turn,

I cannot bear this agony-

and so in darkness shall I be,

alone in Night forevermore;

Day is locked behind a door.

Well? Come on, I want to hear from you...
