Bury My Heart
Bury my heart in a dark wood,
And I will weep no more.
Take me from this sunny season,
And I will sleep beneath the snow.
If I slept in a winter glade,
The cold would numb the pain,
The barren trees would shelter me,
And ravens keep me company.
The summer is too warm and bright,
The light dazzles my eyes,
The heat presses down on my chest,
Bury my heart in a dark wood.
