A Devil's Appeal-Accompanyment and Explanation

Hello, hello! This is my little help guide for 'A Devil's Appeal,' because many people have questions that I had not answered like I should have. So, instead of wasting precious space in my chapters, I decided to submit a whole 'nother story to explain this.

1) The Differences Between Angels and Creatures of the Underworld

Physical and Mental- As you no doubt noticed, angels and devils seem to be very similar except for a few things. These things, as far as appearances go, are limited: for example, angels tend to be smaller and lighter than devils, or leaner at the very least. Devil's, on the other hand, tend to be stronger and a bit slower mentally (which is a dead give away when Salax is posing as a devil- he is too smart). This mental block is one reason devils have never been very successful at trying to take over the angel world before Malus and Salax dared to do so.

History- The angels and devils were once the same form of creature but, like with people of different attitudes, religions and such, war often comes between those who are different. This is what happened between angels and devils, both contributing equally to the seperation of their races: as I have shown in this story, angels are hardly the pure, innocent creatures they claim to be, and are just as likely to war as anybody else.

2) The appearance similarities of my characters

As some of you noticed, Malus obviously looked at least somewhat like Dominus, and Salax's appearance suddenly changed when he became a 'devil.' This is due to my before mentioned explanation of angels and devil's being of a similar race of people...it is only natural that some of them (like Malus) show signs of a recessive trait from the other race. Malus didn't look exactly like Dominus did, by the way...Aureus had not seen him for years, so it was easy to mistake someone for him, especially given the lack of reasonable light in the underworld. Salax's appearance, on the other hand, was a form of adapting...because he had to change so drastically in personality to suit the underworld, his appearance had to do so as well. Not like he wasn't sexy to begin with, but still...

3) The way the characters are viewed

Aureus-Somebody told me once that Aureus sounds remarkably like a woman when I write their dialogue. I cannot explain this, except in this story he is the submissive of the two main characters, and in a general romance that is non-slash, the submissive character is generally female. Also, Aureus seems bi-polar to many of you...eh, he's just stressed. In later books (of which I will write in one form or another) he will be much more stable. He also tends to be emotional because he has never been in love before. Throws one off, I suppose.

Salax- What can be said about Salax? Most of you called it, really. He is somewhat evil (adapting, as I said) and he is also devious and manipulative, but he doesn't like hurting people who do not deserve it. He is not very wise about love, and often mistakes llust, hatred, ect. for love. However, he is truly in love with Aureus. While he cared deeply for Marius, he was more infatuated with him.

Our crazy M people- Markus, Maria, and Malus (I like to use M names for my villains, but I am trying to stop this.) Basically...Markus fell in love with Malus, Maria fell in love with Markus (or what we can assume is love, since they were all crazy) and Malus died. Markus killed himself and anyone foolish enough to get in his way because he desperately wanted to hurt Salax for taking his love away. Yes, that about covers it, I think.

Slavtor- Many of you do not know the importance of Slavtor, and I believe this is mainly my fault, since I didn't explain the connection very well. Slavtor is a selected henchman of Markus's who was supposed to distract Salax (in some form or another) while Markus did his deeds. This plan backfired, because Aureus did not stay where he was supposed to, and Salax no longer had to waste his time on people like Slavtor. And yes, Slavtor is dead. Markus killed him because he was no longer useful sometime in the 23rd chapter. Oh yeah, he's gone. He was an idiot anyway. :)

4) The new character

Yes, I figured I should explain why I felt the need to add an additional character in the last chapter of my story. There will be a continuing of this story (or at least some of the characters) when I get around to writing it. You will find oout how Salax and Aureus are doing several years from the end of this story in the next one...when I feel like writing it.

Okay, I believe I have talked enough about my story. If you have any more questions, I will be happy to explain them.
