It Takes Two To Tango

a subtle smile across the floor
raised eyebrows in return
meet halfway, near the floor
and let go of all concern

raised eyebrows in return
hand in hand a little sway
let go of your concern
find a step to lead the way

hand in hand a little sway
a quick name and a grin
find a step to lead the way
find the dance within

A quick name and a grin
a test of skill from either side
find the dance within
ocho, quatre, turn and slide

a test of skill from either side
cross flourish and return
ocho, quatre, turn and slide

Cross, flourish, and return
a liquid switch, a guiding arm
and now its time to lean
take in the dances charm

a liquid switch, a guiding arm
find the others style
take in the dances charm
each step a twisting trial

Find the others style
now the music fades away
Each step a twisting trial
the next set begins to play

Now the music fades away
thanks, curtsy, leave the floor
the next set begins to play
as you pass by the door

Thanks, curtsy, leave the floor
sit down and cool awhile
as you pass the door
Watch for that subtle smile

sit down and cool awhile
while the dancers spin
But watch for that subtle smile
and let the dance begin
