The blood flows quicker.

The pain gets worse.

I lay there helpless with no one beside me.
Knowing and wondering if this was meant to be.
But as the blood spreads out, I look to my wrist.
Seeing my bracelet, oh what a wonderful gift.
I was ever so happy that one Christmas day.
