Confusion

Confusion is my perpetual state

When approaching any person

What they mean and what they say

Couldn't possibly be consistent

If he speaks to me and smiles

My heart leaps in hope

Always leaping prematurely

My heart has always been my traitor

My greatest bane, my greatest treasure
