fragile

there are glass shards on the ground
waiting to break my fall,
and i feel strangely corporate
with pocketed razorblades and "professionally-diagnosed"
Issues,
romanticizing mental institution horrors for the hell of it
staring at long-haired black metal boys i'm itching to seduce
with razorblade romances & anemic skin,
before i have to get back home and pass out in the shower
thanks to my 5-carrot-a-day "health plan"
burning fingers on matches to keep the room from
s.p.i.n.n.i.n.g.
pasting magazine models to the walls
and holding staring contests
fingertips wicked, pressed into concave sides
and i think i forgot to tell you
i'm trying to get you to steal my heart
so it will finally stop threatening
