Death of A Hero

Its this thing

I get inside.

It makes my heart

Scream sometimes.

I start to lose

My sleep at night.

When I finally

See my plight.

I never thought

It could be true,

I’ve got problems

Just like you,

And I cannot

Find my way.

You think that I’m strong inside,

‘Cause your answers I can find,

You don’t see me lost at night.

What happens when,

This old hero’s dead,

Killed by his tolls,

Secrets untold.

Eaten inside,

Alone left to die,

You’d never know,

A hero’s soul cries.

My friends would all see me

When their lived went out of whack,

And I’d go out of my way just for them.

I’d bleed all my blood

Just to see them all back,

To a smile that would please them.

But they never see,

That something’s killing me,

‘Cause if they all knew,

It’s me who’d lose.

What happens when,

This old hero’s dead,

Killed by his tolls,

Secrets untold.

Eaten inside,

Alone left to die,

You’d never know,

A hero’s soul cries.

There was a time,

I managed to find,

The on I thought

I could call mine.

Instead I lost

All that I had,

I had to hide,

Behind a mask.

And still I do,

For your happiness,

This loser’s love,

Will go unknown.

What happens when,

This old hero’s dead,

Killed by his tolls,

Secrets untold.

Eaten inside,

Alone left to die,

You’d never know,

A hero’s soul cries.

I’m all alone,

I did it myself,

Its all my fault,

I’m in this mess.

I fell in love,

Deep in your eyes,

But as a friend,

You like me best.

You’ve come to me,

Times over again,

I’ve saved you so much,

I just want a rest.

Please save me now,

I’m falling apart,

I can save you,

I cannot save myself.

Eaten inside,

Alone left to die,

You’d never know,

A hero’s soul cries.

Alone left to die,

This hero’s soul cries.
