When these words are spoken,

They mean no more.

They signify the end of one thing,

But never the beginning of another.

It’s when we say, “Now begins

A new life” is when we see the

Beautiful, yet sometimes startling

Transformation that is the life we lead.

New births, first steps, and graduations

All resemble the change I speak.

Death of darkness, birth of light

Death of crawling, birth of walking

End of childhood, beginning of

Life anew, with new challenges

Coming our way.

Take from past knowledge

Learn from new mistakes, and

Welcome every challenge

As opportunity.

Let not something be “all over”

Let it be the start of something new.
