And... Still I get the impression that that last chapter of Acceptance didn't pass muster. I'm starting to get a bit hurt... -sniffles- Anyway, here's (another, I know) poem. The epilogue for Acceptance is finished, but... probably won't be posted for a few days.

Sunset Wings

Angels’ wings across the sky,

drifting by in gold and blue-

cotton-candy clouds of light,

pure and bright and calm and true.

Dance across a shooting star,

high and far, in the night.

Maybe, when you do, you’ll see

the wind-tossed Sea reflecting light.

-

Have you seen a bright sunset?

Have you met the Fireflies?

Wish-masters upon the stars

ignore the bars and chains and lies.

-

Sometimes soothing, all confusing,

what? amusing? Such is life.

How could it not be, with the pain,

the loss and gain and endless strife,

blended with a dash of joy,

a child’s toy, and sugared sweets,

mixed into endless summer days,

misty haze, and sparrows fleet.

-

C’est la vie! and c’est la vie!

Tell me truly, is this the way?

Or, just as little Bo-Peep’s

missing sheep, do we walk astray?

-

The rosy sunset angel’s wings

draped with strings of brightening gold

herald hope and peace and love,

far above. We are told

by some that these things cannot be,

that utopia is a dream.

Yet dreams reality are made

when unafraid to change the seams.

-

To change the seams, the seams of life,

the stitches rife with evil’s lair…

The pattern of the future yet

may be off-set by those who dare.

Well? Enjoy? Review, please!
