Footprints

Footprints etched into the sand,
Each one different, each unique,
Those before walked down this path,
And now, it’s finally our turn.

Walking away from shelter,
Going down our own paths.
Treading over the path set before us,
And finding our destinations.

Tearful farewells,
As we leave to go on our own,
Some things were meant to be,
And this, would be one of them.

Memories drift in the wind,
And stay with us forever,
Love and knowledge everlasting,
As well as our footprints, which will never fade.

From the desk of the mental banana-waffle-pancake-pickle (goose-fork):

Well, graduation’s coming up. I just handed this into the teacher (who approved it, thank God. She didn’t approve the other girl’s poem). I just want to know what other people think of this before I go in front of over 300 people to read this...-.-

I’m so totally stressing...graduation’s coming up and I’m wondering, what the hell was I thinking when I volunteered to read a poem? I’m going to mess up. I’m going to stumble on my words when I start. I’m going to forget to introduce myself. Ay ah...-.-

Much luv,
Sumi-chan; What you call love, I call pain.
