Embarrassing

I admit it

I embarrassed him

I drug him into it

It’s true

But I didn’t mean too

I know how it feels to be embarrassed

I know the feeling all too well

The first real sting of embarrassment

Happened in my younger years…at 8

In my school I didn’t make

It to the potty in time

Instead I went

Right in the hall!

And what a mess

I did create

Another time much later

I did it again

But this time it was my teacher’s fault

For not letting me go pee then

My whole class just stared at me

And I knew my face was red

I just wanted to go home

And sulk in my bed

When I was even smaller

I had mistaken

The girl’s bathroom for the boys

Another time I was trying on a dress

Then suddenly diarrhea hit me

Boy was it a mess!

So I’m sorry for the embarrassment

I really truly am

Cause I’ve been there

And let me tell ya

It is really bad

I trust that you’ll forgive me

But it may take some time

I’m sorry and I love you

And I’m glad that your mine
