Rain

Black freckles on the gray pavement and the

Taste of heaven tears, the smell of

Wet mulch and second chances

Drip down my fingertips and swim

In a pool of summer

Sun

Golden rays caress my hair and my

Spaghetti-straps, warming my alabaster skin

Till it tingles with cloudless

Happiness that plays across my face

With a smile that reminds you of summer

Thunder

A lone black cloud marches across

The sunny sky and bursts with pride and rain

That soaks the world and cracks, ear-splitting

Sky-splitting lightning that flys away

And leaves a summer rainbow in it’s wake
