Little Things
A hug from a friend
Healing tears dripping down
The weather, sun and snow
Such beauties
Life's big prizes are excellent hiders
But its small pleasures are abundant
Cuddling and talking with your life-long friend, your cat
Being with friends, forever giggling
Expressing myself in so many ways
Just being able to twirl in the rain
Hearing the notes float out of my flute
Making the stupidest puns in the world
Winning the volleyball bracket tournament, with my team celebrating
Life is so amazing
As the sun slips beneath the horizon
As my life passes by
I'm thankful to have so much to appreciate
Talking in class and getting in trouble
Using silly code words
Getting a perfect grade on a test
Listening to music and making it too
Dreaming magnificent dreams
I'm so glad to be me
