The butterflies hide
From the snow in the sky
As a war rages on
Between "just two guys"

Guns scream without sympathy
As if to sing a blood symphony
Is it life or death that they see
When the soldiers fall half-asleep

Snow tumbles down
To freeze feet to the ground
The world seems so sound
On such a blood filled day

Butterflies flutter
Over the stench of decay
As the sun sets behind clouds
To call an end to the day
