Love Is Conquered By All

In truth I think there’s no such thing as love

For all who claim to find their true soul mate

Destroy their pair as eas’ly as a dove

May fly from something it has deemed its fate.

A trifle over who is in the right

Regarding just a silly consequence,

Soon escalates into a full blown fight,

And neither one will try to breach that fence.

Despite the common love that they both share,

They will break up, ignoring feelings clear.

And why else would these lovers choose to bear

The company of one who isn’t dear?

Or maybe I am wrong in my asses

And love is more than they fail to confess.
