Who are we to question fate?

We are not gods,

We are but mere mortals,

Having no lasting effect on Fate or Destiny’s plans.

We are nothing to them,

We cannot come close to them,

They are gods,

We are mortals,

We are the descendants,

Descendants of those who were banished,

Banished for not keeping the peace,

Forgetting who we were,

Fighting amongst ourselves,

Killing one another,

I am one of the few,

The few who remember,

What we once were,

Who we once were,

What we could have been,

Could have done,

Now I am the last,

My days are numbered,

I will say my farewells now,

Perhaps you will hear my tale in the future,

Goodbye,

You who now know,

What we could have been,

Could have done,

They are gods,

We are mortals,

One day you will hear me whispering on the wind,

Goodbye.
