Remia

Kagoatweed's Rant: Read, review and be inspired, but don't steal ideas.

(Tho, this one I'm not so sure I like... sigh)

Remia. That was the name my mother gave me. When I was little I remember her leaning over and whispering in my ear about how great my name was and what it meant. "You have a wonderful little name," she told me, "And do you know what it means?" I would shake my head. I knew what it meant, but this was the little game we played. "It means 'free bird.' Oh, but Little One," she would warn me quietly, "You must never tell anyone about your name. Promise me." She would tap me on the nose when she asked. I would always promise and I never asked why I couldn't tell. I just assumed it was our little game and I played along. That was a long time ago. I killed my mother a long time ago, and yet, we still play our little game, because I haven't told anyone.
