One Last Wish

I wish I may, I wish I might
Oh, I wish I may, I wish I might
See that star I seek tonight
Turn my head up towards the skies
Leaving all my thoughts aside

Wishing I was in your arms
To fly with you amongst the stars
These midnight shivers whisk away
Teardrops fallen yesterday
Whisper softly in my ear
The only words I've yearned to hear

Come away with me
So we can loose ourselves
Floating down the Milky Way
Please don't turn from me
Say you want me here
Lying beneath the endless night

In the mirrors of my heart
I can see your face in my reflection
Though we've grown apart
Your star still makes me look to your direction

Broken emotions tug at me
Blinding me so I can't see
The way you used to look into my eyes
Beginning something we can't compromise
And though your spirit's gone away

I wish so dearly to hear you say....

Come away with me
So we can loose ourselves
Floating down the Milky Way
Please don't turn from me
Say you want me here
Lying beneath the endless night

I wish I may, I wish I might...
Oh, I wish I may, I wish I might...
Can't you hear me where you are?
What happened to my shining star?
See those tears I've shed away?
They're just for you in every way

Grant me one last wish, my shining star
If you can hear me where you are
Promise me you'll come back soon
Kiss me once beneath the moon
Then take me flying to a place
Fulfill that oath I heard you say

Come away with me
So we can loose ourselves
Floating down the Milky Way
Please don't turn from me
Say you want me here
Lying beneath the endless night
