He Can't Say Good-bye

He is silent as a tear drop falls down his cheek,
he just couldn't find the right words to speak.

He was going to lose his best friend, his soul mate,
for she was going to meet her hideous fate.

He had tried to save her with all his might,
but she just smiled and said the time was right.

She kissed him for the final time,
and said that to let her live would be a crime.

But he didn't want to say good-bye,
he didn't want her to die.

But she placed the gun to her head,
and with one shot she was dead.

He lost his beloved on that fateful night,
and she had gone down without a fight.
