Kiss Me Not

Kiss me not beneath the cherry tree
Carve not our names entwined
Whilst winter breathes it naked
To reveal this lost design

Kiss me not so very sweetly
Artificial sugar cane
Your lips trace faintly scented
Of another woman's game

Kiss me not to say I'm yours
Treasure me not the way its meant
Possess me as another
Copper coin left unspent

Kiss me not with lips of poison
Come not when all is well
For your false gaze is illness
Disease wrought straight from Hell

Kiss me not when tears run dry
Your presence clench my fists
No longer search the moral
Behind your lavish gifts

Kiss me not for you deserve
Far more than just a kiss
You have earned yourself a blissful life
In utter loneliness
