Hidden

Looking for love in all the wrong places,

Searching for love for all the wrong reasons,

Things we don’t understand,

we always try to figure out on our own

Scared to ask for help,

afraid that people will know our weaknesses

But by being afraid of them,

doesn’t that make us afraid of trying to improve ourselves

Portrayals that don’t even resemble the real you

Just a facade

A mask portrayed to be perfect

But everything has its faults

Some just finer than others

Just like wrinkles on an aged woman’s face.

Some call them wisdom marks

Branding some like rings on a tree

As with most things we try to hide every little thing that we have been blessed to possess by the One who creates, blesses and destroys.
