The was once a happy child

Before she grew aware -

From all the times she spoke a while –

Of articles beware.

Though The was yet a single girl,

Her named declared it all:

That The was all, and in a whirl,

She came to every call.

The Girl named The turned to despair

Alas! she was but one!

How could it be? Could she compare

To all instead of none?!
