Refreshed

Like a dove, gliding in the air
Like the wind, blowing in your hair
Like winning, knowing you’ve played fair
I feel refreshed.

Like screaming your head off out of wrath
Like finally finishing your stupid math
Like coming out of a nice, hot bath
I feel refreshed.

Like coming in from the rain
Like laughter after screams of pain
I’m finally released from these chains
I feel refreshed.

Yesterday I was full of rage
That wasn’t meant for my age
It seems now I’ve escaped my cage
I feel refreshed.

So if you want to rot away
And have no other place to stay
Just get down on your knees and pray…
…and be refreshed.
