Chapter I The Messanger
Long ago, Handora ruled the world of Fantasia. Now the kingdom is not just a 3rd party kingdom. The mighty Demon of the West has taken over every kingdom and every town of the west. No one dares to step to him and confront him. Secretly, the Queen of Handora put out a wealthy bounty on the Demon of the West. Many hunters jump at the chance for the reward. But all have been slaughtered and failed. Legend says that a drifter passes through on a journey wondering the world of Fantasia. Handora has come to the decision to hire the drifter to take down the Demon of the West. The bounty hunters of the west are all navigated by greed. The drifter passes through the forest near Handora every year hoping to pick up a clue of where to find a place to sleep for the night. The drifter walks past the thorn trees slashing the bushes that get in his way.
"Not this kingdom again." says the drifter.
The drifter looks up ahead to see a dragon stomping trees.
"Perhaps he will make my day worth something."he says.
The drifter approuches the dragon without any fear holding his bloody sword up. The dragon stomps and makes noise. He sees that the dragon is only trying to scare him away. But no such attempt works.
"Ah..." the drifter notices. "Your a rare one. Maybe i'll cut your tail and sell it for food money. I'll bring you down or my name isnt Spike!!"
The bounty hunter now known as Spike runs to the dragon and slashes its left leg. Blood pours out rapidly. The dragon roars as its leg bleeds in pain. Spike jumps on the dragon's stomach and grabs its skin. He then slashes the beast in half with his bare sword. Once again the dragon roars in pain and falls back to its death. Spike walks over and cut off its tail. He hung it up in the nearest tree for the blood to dry up. Spike quickly turns his attention two a man who ran from the Handora kingdom and toward him. He holds his sword in front of him.
"Who goes there?"he asked.
"Are you the drifter named Spike?"
"Maybe. Whats it to you?" Spike asked again.
"The Queen of Handora wishes to see you." he said.
Spike looked at the man and put away his sword. "Shall we go?" he asked.
"Right..." the messanger said.
The messanger sends a signal to open the gates. They soon open and the messanger walks Spike past them. After they walk past, the gates slam shut. The messanger directs Spike toward the castle. Its was far ahead. Spike didnt mind the walk. The messanger continues the walking toward the queen's palace. He then notices that the castle was only a few yards away. As he started at the hugeness of the castle, a theif bumbs into Spike and the thief drops his stolen goods. The thief relized he may have been caught. The thief pulled out his dagger.
"Damn!" exclaims the theif. "You made me drop my stuff! I'll kill you!"
The thieft ran toward Spike and started to cut in every direction but yet hitting him. Spike dodges and ducks the thief's prodictable moves. Spike soon grew tired of dodging and pulls his sword to counter the thief's slash. The two blades touched creating major force. Finally, the thief couldnt hold on and flew back into a market stand.
"Fool." Spike said. "If you were a true thieft you would have ran to my left in zig zags."
The theif's eyes rolled back and he blacked out. Spike put up his sword. People stare at him as if he were a god of some sort.
"Go on." the messanger said. "Nothing to see here."
The people continue on with their usual business. The messanger than ordered to open the gates of the castle. They quickly open.
"I am not allowed beyond this point without the Queen's permission." the messanger says."Continue on."
Spike nodded his head with a smile. "Yes."he starts. "Thank you for your assistance."
Spike walked calmly through the gates. He would not be assisted any further.
