Ch. 2: Everybody’s Been Kung Fu Fighting (And Éowyn’s There Like Lightning)

It’s been two weeks since Eliza Akuraha just become Lovely Sorceress Éowyn Goldra. She has had to deal with creatures that are just like the Youma in various magical girl stories, only they’re real and they’re a whole lot worse. But through the hardest of these fighting times, she muddles through somehow.

At random times, but not all the time, Eliza’s best friend, Johnny Hughay, has been risking his life to help Éowyn out. While Melody and Raff watched from the sidelines, feeling like virtually useless weaklings.

This night after making a shapeless shadow creature bite her dust… Éowyn asks the two ‘normal’ siblings, “What are you two expecting?” Raff said, “I don’t know, something amazing, I guess.” Melody shrugs, “I’m just waiting for a chance to help you, sister.” In her mind, Éowyn Goldra sighed, (“Me too, sis.”)

After getting back home, while having to deal with her enlarging bust and elongating hair (she’s growing still, but she’s decided to get used to it more), she sat down in a chair, which Mira was just sleeping in… and says, “I’m becoming wasted. Those monsters aren’t much of a challenge.”

Raff got full of himself (completely forgetting she’s stronger than he is), pretending he’s throwing a barrage of uppercuts at a monster, “When you get your mind made up, I will be a great asset to your team, sis!”

Pulling Mira from out underneath her sister, Melody said, “This isn’t some dumb old video game or TV show, big bro!” Mira gasped in a deep breath for relief (after being sat on accidentally) and said, “I have to agree with this cute little future expert here.” Eliza got up and firmly said to Raff, “Melody and Mira’s right, Raphael; we may get killed… or worse! Just last week I nearly got torn apart by a giant’s bare hands!”

Raff interrupted, “Not to make a fuss, but Johnny saved you from being torn apart just by taking your place, in case you’ve forgotten.”

Eliza shouts, “Enough! If you die, it’s for real! You’ve seen what happened out there in the streets. You’ve completely forgotten what reality was; before this ever happened, 67 percent of the planet never believed in magic, and yet look: Barvavus and the Order of Amore are reality now, many of your friends at school would’ve lost their lives if weren’t for me showing up and saving the day just three days ago… and that’s reality now!”

Their mother, Haruka, showed up (in her considered ‘true’ form (the Éowyn copy)) and said, “She’s right.” Raff asked, “Why is she? She’s no fun at times.” Haruka then gave Raff the ‘glare of doom’, “Because she cares for you, even though she won’t admit it. Your overconfidence will be your demise if you’re not careful. So it would be best to wait and train until she feels you two are ready to help her.”

Raff, scared out of his wits, stood up straight and saluted, “YES, MA’AM!”

Melody said, “I’ll do whatever it takes until I’m ready to be a magical girl partner!” Haruka came to her usual jolly self and said, “Great, that’s why I’ve asked your schools to give as much work to worry less about homework later and help you skip a few grades.” Melody was excited, “Yahoo!” Eliza said, “I’m up for it, as long as evil is around, I must do heavy work as quickly as possible, that was my intention ever since Gabriel left us.”

Raff then asked, “What about him? Does he have the gene too?” Haruka sighs with joy, “He sure does, but he also kept it a secret from you three.” Melody asks, “Does daddy know about this?” Haruka smiles some more, “He has been an archeologist for many years, now ever since he saw me when we were merely 16, he became gifted and decided to go researching for whatever’s left of the Order of Amore and the Kingdom of Barvavus.”

Elle sighs, “So what about to do with Johnny Hughay? He could seriously hurt himself.” Haruka just says, “He’s such a brave young man.” Raphael said, “I’ve heard he’s going to the martial arts classes at your school just to build up more strength for future battles with the help of the loser nerd, Melvyn Pollak.” Mira Kari said to Raff, “some people are special in their own way, even if they don’t have extraordinary physical abilities, or even if they have a few characteristic flaws. So don’t call that boy with Pepsi-bottle glasses a loser nerd.”

Eliza said, “I believe they’re called coke-bottle glasses, Mira.” Mira sheepishly grinned with her kittenish mouth, “Sorry.”

Melody looks at Mira and asks, “How many forms do you take, Mira?” Mira said, “I have unlimited possibilities of what to transform into, even mimic the form of other people, including your sister.”

Eliza asks, “Why would Barvavus want souls?” Haruka grimly said, “Many evil sorcerers over the centuries sucked out the memories, the knowledge, the energies, the life force, even the spirits and soul of those who came across them and failed, just like the legendary vampire. You can say the superiors of their people are those kind of people.” Raff asks, “They drain people to get stronger?” their mother also said, “They’ll even to go as far as draining one of their own kind.”

Eliza groans, “I think I’ll check up on my friend Johnny’s performance in martial arts at school when I get there tomorrow.” Haruka grabs her daughter and said, “Do so, but first, even a Magical Girl or a member of the Order of Amore needs her sleep.” So her children did.

Raff had a tough time trying to get to sleep, without his confidence, he felt useless to Éowyn Goldra’s point of view.

Melody felt safer when she’s with her sister, so she decided to sleep in the same room, but on the floor in a sleeping bag. Eliza decided to let the little girl sleep in, but sooner her mother came in the room in a flash (teleportation), keeping the younger girl close to her.

Eliza asks her mother, “Why do I feel strange about us being in the same room?” Mrs. Akuraha asks her eldest daughter, “What does it feel like? Uncomfortable, horrible, and devilishly crazy?” Eliza giggled a little, “No, I feel a bit happier, stronger, and safer.” Mira said, “It’s called… love.”

Haruka hugged onto her eldest daughter, and sang a little tune to help them sleep––

Eliza woke up early in the morning to get to finish her homework before going to school. She ran as fast as she could and made it to school… on the school grounds, she found the martial arts club is having an outdoor activity and Johnny’s in the lead with a fantastic 9-out-of-10 going to 10-out-of-10!

Eliza asked one of the other fighters that lost to him, “How are ya feeling?” The boy fighter sighed, “Johnny’s pretty damn strong and fast.” Another beside him said, “Tell me about it, I made 8-out-of-10 and he kicked my ass.” A lot of comments like those were heard from those who lost to Johnny.

Molly came by and groans, “Johnny’s totally dedicated to this whole non-magical support thing; I’ve heard our friend’s falling for Éowyn.”

Then Molly scoffs at the losers to Johnny Hughay, “And you guys are supposed to be the cream of the crops in all the fighting classes in Santa Ozma High? I’ve seen Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Bruce Lee do better arts of fighting… and I’ve heard Goldberg, Jessie ‘the Body’ Ventura, Hollywood Hulk Hogan and the Stinger do badass wrestling better than any of you.”

They all yelled at Molly, “IT’S JUST THAT THE DIRTY SON-OF-A-BITCHES KNOWN AS THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE PLANET HAS ORGANIZED A PROGRAM TO HELP LOVELY SORCERESS ÉOWYN GOLDRA DEFEND OUR WORLD FROM DEMONIC DESTRUCTION, YA SNEAKY BITCH!”

“What a mouth on each of these guys!” muttered Mira Kari from underneath Eliza’s uniform. Eliza heard her and groaned, “Tell me about it.”

KA-BAM!

Elle and Molly looked back at the fight scene and found Johnny standing victorious over the ever so cool martial arts teacher from Japan, Mr. Kai Chaplin! Eliza’s mother shows up, dressed up as a sexy high school nurse (don’t ask about how she juggles all those jobs), and said, “Oh, Mr. Chaplin and Mr. Hughay! Magnificent! 10-out-of-10!” Chaplin-Sensei smiled, “Yeah, Mr. Hughay has got it!”

Later that day… as the fighting students recovered from the injuries they received, mainly from Johnny…

Eliza’s mind groaned with disappointment and worry for Johnny, (“That idiot is going to die from all this.”) Mira Kari mentally shrugged, (“Yeah, right. He seems to have some sort of special gift similar to yours, I think.”)

Later that night, as Eliza was heading home… she noticed Melody and Raff were heading towards her school. “Okay you two, what do you think you’re doing?” Raphael explains, “Isn’t it odd that all the government of our beloved Earth suddenly decide to organize the best fighters on Santa Ozma two weeks after Éowyn Goldra showed up; when there proves to them that that program has never happened now?” Melody adds, “We believe it’s a plot by Barvavus goons pulling our legs.” Eliza, Mira, and Haruka looked at the two younger ones and nodded, “Well… what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”

Before going to the school (and into it), Raff pulls the collars of Eliza and Melody’s school uniforms to a shadowy area just to mention to his family, “Excuse me, but we need more suitable outfits to go into spy work; for which I speak of, we need black suits and be like ninjas.” Mira smiled her kitty-like smile, “I’ve just got the thing.” POOF! Eliza’s familiar morphed into a lavender carpetbag with a silhouette of her cat-like body on the left side in a puff of violet smoke.

She opened up and Haruka reached into it to pull out two jet-black suits: a cat suit for Melody and a spy jumpsuit for Raphael. Raphael asks, “Where’s Elle and Mom’s suits?” Mira changed back and said, “They can do it themselves.” Eliza asked, “We can?” Haruka smiled, “Of course.” Then she held her hand up and called out, “Amore Sorcery… Glamour!” FLASH! In a blast of purple and pink light, Haruka Akuraha turned into a lovely redhead in black tights.

Eliza stood there in a trance as if she recognized it before her mother displayed…

Eliza held her hand up into the air and sighs out, “Amore Sorcery… Glamour!”

The whole room became filled with pink, gold, violet, and blue lights! It wrapped around her, nude, and made her body illuminate in the mentioned colors!

She flips her hair back, and she stretches out a bit. Her beauty began to increase! Her hair shrunk down into a really lovely raven-black hair in short-trimmed hairstyle! Flashes of light came up in places, making her cute face even prettier! Her breasts grew bigger, until they look like they both are round, firm and look as if they each weigh as much as a large jug of water (42F).

The lights formed ribbons that changed the current clothes on her into new garments––

She then stretches out, black panties form on her, and she twirls a bit as a formfitting black cat suit materialized on her body. The cleavage, however, forces the front zipper to unzip halfway.

She opens her now brown eyes (originally they were blue), as she stopped glowing and growing. She ends it with a lovely pose!

Haruka smiles and applauds, “My eldest daughter is more gorgeous than I could ever be! Come here!” She went to hug Eliza, when she stopped her. Eliza motions her head, “Hey, the school.” Then they ran out to try to get to the school…

In a secret area (really an old abandoned school bus) Johnny Hughay sat down waiting for any moment to help Éowyn Goldra. Then a boy with short dirt-brown hair, coke-bottle glasses (with swirling-eye lenses), and a blue male school uniform (Melvyn Pollak) came up to him with a palmtop computer, “Looks like there’s an energy disturbance in the school district, Johnathan.” Johnny said, “No need for formalities, Melvyn buddy. Is it electrical or meteorological?” Melvyn shook his head, “No… it’s not from this world at all.”

Johnny looked at the screen, “Unbelievable; from what I can tell, the energies are getting stronger in the same school tournament that I’ve fought in.” Melvyn puts his palm to his chin, “Yeah, and according to the life form body signatures… the martial arts contestants are still there.” Johnny noticed some moving spots on the monitor with the same color as the otherworldly energies, “These have got to be Barvavus goons undercover.” Melvyn handed him an experimental utility belt, “Be careful out there, Johnny.” Johnny puts on a serious face, “I will, buddy.”

At the high school, while crawling through air ducts and ventilation shafts…

Eliza asks, “What do the siblings of mine see up ahead?” Raff quietly calls back, “Well, Little Miss Boobs-for-Wheels… we may have to split up; because the shafts split into three different directions from here.” Eliza groans, “It’s not my fault that my mammary set and hair grows out of control; its embedded into my genes, and what’s worse and better than that my magical powers are growing increasingly powerful with each accidental transformation.” Melody asks (while trying to haul their mother), “How is it worse?” Eliza sighed, “I had to hide within random areas just to make sure other people don’t discover who I really am now.”

Haruka said, “Okay, Eliza. You and Mira go the one in the middle, I go on, alone, in the one on the left, and Raff and Melody go on the right.” The small family went into the directions their mother suggested.

As Eliza and Mira Kari found their way out of their air duct… Haruka somehow knew that that air duct for Elle would lead her to the rarely used reference room in the library. Mira Kari suggests, “Time to try out some of your other powers, E.” Eliza sighs, “Okay, okay, M.” She sat down and meditated, while concentrating on her family’s locations and her current mission.

Melody and Raff are still crawling trough the air ducts… Raff groans out “7 o’clock in the evening, and I already and finally feel the bad vibes about tonight. I hope Eliza chokes on them!” Melody said, “That’s not very nice.” Raff pounds his fist against the grates beneath them and they both fell into the principal’s office!

Melody gets up and said, “I may not be a Magical Girl like Éowyn Goldra, but I believe I have some of Amore Sorcery like she does.” Raff scoffs, “It’s always girls! What? No room for men in their lives?” Melody said, “I feel bad vibrations, a lot more coming from this desk.” Raff gets up, and sweat-drops, “Unbelievable! Why would the principal of our high school own an old folded-up page torn from some very ancient manuscript?” Melody asks (Raff said over her in unison), “What’s a manuscript?” Raff explained, “A man-made book from the old past.”

Melody takes the page and noticed, “The vibes are coming from this!” Raff unfolds the page to reveal ancient text of some kind, “I wish we could read it.” Suddenly, the page’s letters rearranged and changed shape into simple English. Raff sighs, “Now that’s more like it,”––

‘By orders of Barvavus, collect the strongest fighters around this island and sacrifice them to our world as soon as possible.’

Melody and Raff grew more scared than ever, “Oh no!” Melody shrieked, “They’re going to sacrifice the strongest fighters on the island!” Raff declared, “Over my dead body!”

Eliza saw the whole thing through astral projection… Mira replied, “I saw it too!” Eliza got up, “Time to transform!”

Eliza held her hand up into the air and shouts, “Amore Sorcery… Goldra!”

The whole room became filled with pink, gold, violet, and blue lights! It wrapped around her, nude, and made her body illuminate in the mentioned colors!

She flips her hair back, and she stretches out a bit. Her body began to increase in height a little, as well in beauty! Her hair exploded into a really thick and long mane and body of golden hair! Large bangs of it curled up in places, making her already cute face even prettier! Her breasts grew bigger, until they look like they both are round, firm and look as if they each weigh as much as a large jug of water (42F). Her once human ears morphed into a pointy shape like an elf’s.

The lights formed ribbons that changed the current clothes on her into new garments––

She then stretches out, violet panties form on her, and she twirls a bit as pink fabricated boots with blue puffy sleeves that reach above her ankles formed on her feet. More of the ribbons of light then form a short blue skirt that open in front, then three pink tails form from behind on her skirt.

More of these ribbons of light form into a formfitting violet tube top dress. The pink ribbons of light formed on top of the dress and became like thick ribbon-like shoulder straps that hang loose!

Violet cuffs wrap around her forearms and connect golden knuckle bracelets on top of her hands!

She bends over and a golden chain belt wraps around her bare waist between the top and skirt and dozens of golf ball-sized pink gems dazzled around each golden link!

A golden tiara circlet forms upon her forehead creating a blue and pink gem in place of the mind’s eye! A blue diamond appears and she snatches it in midair and places it on her left ear as an earring and then it formed a string that made the jewel swing like a pendulum.

She then twirls around another band of light and pulls it to her neck to form her choker beneath her neck with a small pink crystal in front.

She opens her now pink eyes (originally they were blue), as she stopped glowing and growing. Takes off the ring and places it onto the pink ribbon-like frill that was along with the straps and it forms a large pink jewel brooch with a pair of golden wings and two blue tail ribbons on the bottom. The jewel is similar to that on her ring!

She ends it with a lovely pose!

Caught by the devilishly charming evil sorcerers, Melody and Raphael are tied to a post surrounded by the humans to be sacrificed. Melody groans at her brother, “You mean over our dead bodies!” Raphael sweat-drops, “Hey, can’t blame a guy for not knowing the right choice of words.” Melody smirks, “But I can blame a guy whose ego always gets the better of him!” Raff sweat-drops, “Okay, you can blame me for that.”

One of the sorcerers growled at them, “Silence or else we will kill you and use your blood as our wine!” Melody screamed, “PLEASE DON’T!”

“Goldra Stardust Magic — Sleep.” A glittering rainbow-colored sparkle of some mysterious powder filled the starlit night sky, most of the captives fell asleep.

Raff asked, “What happened?” Melody smiled, “It must be Éowyn!”

A familiar voice was heard, “That is far enough.” Everyone looked for she who spoke. The same voice now said, “Martial arts here on Earth were developed for self-defense, not inclined to hurt others.”

The woman who said that showed up from the shadows, it’s the Lovely Sorceress Éowyn Goldra! Then she said, “Courage, kindness, integrity, fitness, loyalty, and discipline… these are the most honorable parts that martial arts are supposed to teach those who learn it. And I’m here to insure that it’s protected from the sick likenesses of you Chinese Boxers! I am the Lovely Sorceress Éowyn Goldra!”

One of the sorcerers growled, “A sorceress of Amore? Damn! They survived!” Then another sniffed the air, “Wait a minute!” He traced the smell to Melody and Raphael! “You both possess the bloodline of the Order of Amore through your veins!”

Raphael begged, “Now can we be your partners?” Éowyn gagged, “Not now.”

The sorcerers of Barvavus began to grow steamed! One of them said to Éowyn “Your little magic powder may be strong enough to knock out these souls, but you’re no match for us! Get her, boys!”

Éowyn stuck out her hand and shouted, “Goldra Wand!” A small violet appeared in her left hand, two smooth gold rings attached to each end from out of nowhere, a small blue crystal sphere (about the size of a large marble) appeared on one end while on the other a violet crystal disk with a pink Star of David (or six-pointed star) within and a red heart in the center of the star attached.

Éowyn zipped past the goons at lightning speed, everything was at pause… she stood up straight, and snapped the fingers in her free hand. Most of those evil sorcerers fell to the ground at the moment she snapped her fingers!

The last one left standing growled, “Pathetic weaklings!” and much to everyone’s disgust, he gulped down his own downed allies whole like they were hot fudge sundaes! Melody’s face turned green with disgust, “Ugh! I think I’m gonna be sick!”

Then the sorcerer stood up, turning into a gigantic dragon-like monstrosity! Raff’s mouth gaped in surprise, “Whoa! Somebody needs to call a plastic surgeon!”

And without warning, the creature charged in at those he wanted to sacrifice to his evil realm, sending Éowyn flying into a cement wall back first! Éowyn was weakened by such an attack…

Mira Kari explained, “When a magical being devours another, it can gain more power from those it just devoured.” Éowyn grunts, “And now he’s intending to eat my brother and sister!”

When things looked bad for her currently non-magical siblings…

“Lunar Smash Kick!”

Everyone became all pale, wide-eyed, and surprised at what he just seen; Johnny just punched a gaping hole into the monster’s chest with one kick!

Raff’s mind was broken, “He has to be superhuman; no one but Éowyn could do that!”

Johnny shouts to Éowyn, “COME ON, Eliza–– Éowyn Goldra; use Goldra Battle Conversion or a wand spell blast now!” Éowyn stood there aghast as Johnny came down, landing on his feet! Does he truly know who she was and what she is capable of?

Éowyn got her strength returned to her and she thrusts her Goldra Wand’s crystal star at the monster and shouts, “Goldra Starlight Heart Magic — Star Burst!” Thousands of stars and hearts of energy bursted from the crystal star and blasted the monster away!

As she goes to free Raff and Melody, a thought of worry wells up inside her. How does Johnny Hughay know who she is and how come he’s able to kick with the strength of a monster more powerful than those she face?

Later that morning at school… Eliza gave Johnny the cold shoulder, but with a reason of fear.

Then in the middle of class… Eliza’s mother crashes onto her from an air duct in the ceiling!

Johnny asked, “What were you doing in the ventilation shafts, Mrs. Akuraha?” She meekly replied, I wanted to surprise you in class this morning ha-ha!” Eliza thought-spoke to her mother, (“Don’t tell me you fell asleep in there the whole night!”) While still laughing, Mrs. Akuraha replied, (“I did.”)
