Lying in his arms she sleeps
The pain of yesterday almost forgotten.
His touch soothing upon her skin.
Her tears almost dried now.

Pain flowing like a river through her soul
Crushing her all her life long.
No one to love her, no one to care
Hard as she tries, she can't move forward anywhere.

He's here now
His love healing her old wounds.
The bruises and scars of yesterday closing
Fading fast.

Falling into an abyss where bad dreams lie
The black hole closing.
Sleep embraces her tired skin
And she slips away.

In his arms.
Where it is safe.
Where there is love.
Where the past can be forgotten
And the future is left in its stead.
