Beautiful, deep, clear green eyes stared at the black ceiling silently, thoughts running through the owners mind. The moonlight spilled upon the soiled sheets and the pillows and the pale flesh of the two inhabitants. His eyes were innocent…he was not. His flaming hair spilled upon his shoulders, trimmed neatly and slicked back out of his eyes. A widow’s peak started the wondrous hair, deep, blood red hair streaked with cherry red ran along his head and spiked out, far out, behind the pointed ears. Tetsu, the leading high angel of Modria Mersesa, was fast asleep next to him, his hot torso’s skin pressed against his arm. Tetsu said he never needed to sleep. Miklov could make that a lie. Slowly, the slumbering angel’s lover sat up, slipping free of his grasp easily. Naked feet touched the plush carpet, and he stretched, feeling his few organs shift slightly and his sturdy bones cracking lightly.
Adam Zanoza created Miklov. He was a lead scientist in the affairs of Biological Experiments of Human Extension Resources. Everyone just called it BE HER. Adam was researching the outcome of a certain experiment. He had combined every race together…every vicious creature alive in the universe…into one DNA strand. It would soon create the evil monster that called itself a ‘freak of humanity’. Adam was married to a beautiful woman named Latichai. She had given stillbirth to a child. Once again when pregnant for the second time, she had an abortion. But this last time, Adam watched her closely. The baby was birthed in a cool hospital room in the finest suite that there was to offer. Latichia slept, and Adam watched over his newborn son like an attentive dog. But, in the middle of the second night, his child became ill, and the fretting father was told that he only had 12 hours to live. Adam, fearful of another loss, took the child’s problems into his own hands. Taking the child, he raced to the labs for a cure. He worked and worked for hours, breaking only when his child was in need of personal attention. Finally he tried something he didn’t want to. He injected the child with the DNA. Realizing the gill DNA would suffocate him; Adam concocted a water mixture, which gave food through the oxygen in the lungs, and applied that, and his beloved son into a sixty-five gallon tank. He lived past those 12 hours…
Then the nightmare began.
The child mutated and grew at horrific rates. Soon tubes and restraints were needed so that the tank wouldn’t be shattered in its flailing and slashing. Claws had grown, fully human still, sharp enough to cut glass. About 12 years old, Adam decided to put in lungs… unfortunately the gills were unremoveable… so Adam had to do it by hand. It was horrid… once his gills touched air, he began scrambling and sliding and screeching, making the other scientists cringe. Once he was out of the tank, Adam was responsible for getting him to the table.
Adam was ravaged. The boy fought him viciously. His claws dug into anything he could touch. Adam was gashed from his waist to his neck, one scratch very close to his artery vein. Unphased, the boy was belted down and after moments of struggling, succumbed to the drug injected. Adam made it quick to cut open the boy and insert the lungs. The boy had troubles at first adapting to the lungs, but soon his body learned to automatically switch the two.
Adam watched his son grow. Soon twenty-seven years had passed. And he woke up. Those exotic green eyes shot open and the glass cracked… The sirens began their mind scarring screech of warn while the scientists ran around looking for items to sooth the beast within. A grin crept onto the face and Adam calmly made his way over to the tank, sirens and lights flashing. The tank cracked more. Adam smiled as his son touched the glass with his long, thin beautiful fingers.
Now, Adam was not like other scientists… he only wore his lab coat when he was working. He wasn’t working at the time and was now wearing his favorite coat. It was a black coat with a high collar and with was all held together with white stitching. The glass began to drain the specialized water through the cracks. The others shouted orders. One scientist ran and started yelling at Adam that he needed to get out of the building. He grinned more as the cracks turned into breaks. Pressure was applied and the tank shattered. Adam stood still, unmoving. Glass shards flew everywhere. One slammed into the scientist next to Adam and he cackled as the cold moisture of the fool’s blood soaked his face and his hands. A wave of water slammed into the other still standing scientists. Adam was unharmed. There was a hiss as the connectors on his child released, either being damaged or pulled off by the boy himself. He was a handsome seven-foot even. Adam admired his smooth, lithe body as he slowly stepped out of the circular prison. The scientist almost gasped in awe as the pale cadaver shown itself and the blood, which was from the glass under the wonders feet, ran off the edges in a thick, syrupy drip to the cold concrete floor.
He loved him. At first sight. This monster that everyone ran from in fear of death. The monster that wore his father’s jacket.
