Heaven Can Wait

So surely knit of our wishes Sins, intentions, inhibitions,
Is that path, woven straight to heaven.
Between the skies and the Deep of forgiveness We dwell for this time.
Being yet young we look to the sky,
The stars holding meaning the Earth Can't speak.
And when your weave to heaven Snaps,
For it is always taut,
You can fall back, fly back,
To me.
So hurry up, the day is thin,
The night is slow, and The earth is stretched beneath us,
Give me your hand, your faith,
And we'll tie it to the end Of this beam of razorwire moonlight,
And spend this night on Earth.
Heaven can always wait.
