AN: I wrote this for English 10. It’s our last assignment and half the class was groaning about how much they hated poetry…
Personally I love it, but feel I lack the talent for it... whatever. I’m sharing it none-the-less. Hope you all enjoy the read, but it is rather short… hrrmm…-!
Shavings on the Writing desk
Drip…drip…drip…
The sounds of droplets,
Or what should have been,
Shavings on the writing desk
Splashing in the dappled light
Close to levitating pencils
And sharp, turning nickel
Cutting through the coppice
With the beat of splinters,
Gentle pitter patter,
On the unclean countertop
Drip…drip…drip…
