You were my friend

or so I thought

you had my back

oh how you’ve changed

You see and you judge

and in the dark you laugh

secretly despising

and mocking me.

All I’ve done is be your friend

you backstabbing son of a bitch.

I was there for you

through your breakups

whenever you needed me

I thought you’d be there for me

but all I got was

a stab in the back.

All I ask is honesty

I just can’t take

this ridiculous façade

you’ve shown me.

All I’ve done is be your friend

you backstabbing son of a bitch.

I was there for you

through your breakups

whenever you needed me

I thought you’d be there for me

but all I got was

a stab in the back.

I’m lucky I have true friends

who’ll always stick by me

and help me heal the wound;

you’d just rub salt in it.

Maybe someday I’ll heal

and maybe I’ll forgive you

but I need time

I need time.
